Bisou's Story
Established nearly 20 years ago in 2007, Bisou Bake Shop was founded in Malaysia by a husband and wife team. Macland Tan and Debbra Lee. Debbra’s genuine love for homestyle baked treats and the joy of sharing these bakes with others is the driving force behind Bisou Bake Shop while Macland is involved in the operations.
Perhaps best known for cupcakes, pretty cakes and English tea time favourites, most of the recipes have been created by Debbra (or borrowed from her Great Grandmother and Aunty). These recipes are tweaked with in her home kitchen before being brought to the production kitchen team. She then works with them to adjust the recipe to accommodate the different ovens used in the production kitchen. Seven days a week, our kitchen works producing fresh bakes which are delivered daily.
Whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, celebrating a special occasion, or simply indulging in something sweet after a long day, we’re here to make those moments a little more memorable. Debbra’s touch is in very much a part of your Bisou experience, she is involved in every minute detail, be it the boxes your cakes are packed in to the teacups you sip tea from and even the chairs you sit on. Every tiny detail.
Debbra believes that good baking speaks for itself and is very much also used to sharing her skills. She conducts monthly baking and decorating workshops throughout the year for charitable organisations, she wants to share not only her recipes but also the joy and bonding that baking brings to many.
